Find your baby's stage

StarlitBaby Guide · from 0 months to 5 years

More support or more space?

Not all families know how to identify this at first, and that is completely normal. Age provides guidance, but your baby’s signals help us understand what they need right now.

🤍

Needs more support

Startles, calms down when held snugly, seeks contact, and still needs a gentle transition from the feeling of the womb.

Needs more space

Starts to roll over, changes position, moves more, and no longer rests as well in a solution that is too snug.

01

First months · 0–6 months

The snug stage

Suitable when your baby seeks to feel snug, startles easily, or calms down when they feel gentle boundaries around them. The aim is to support their adjustment during the first few months.

Signs you can look out for: constantly seeks to be held, needs contact to calm down, or finds the change to a larger surface difficult.

02

Continuation · 4–12 months

More movement, more space

PIKABÜ supports the transition when your baby is moving more and needs the freedom to find new positions, while maintaining a sense of a familiar environment.

Signs you can look out for: tries to roll over, pushes with their legs and arms, changes position, or seems to be asking for more room.

Between 4 and 6 months, the two stages may overlap. At that point, pay more attention to their signals and mobility than to their exact age in months.

Independence with a familiar cue

At this stage, your little one gains independence but may still seek a pleasant, familiar reference to accompany their sleep.

Signs you can look out for: looks for something to cuddle, needs a familiar cue to relax, or is learning to fall asleep more independently.

You don’t have to decide alone
